Pop Top Luggage Tray

Post by fodtommo »

On my 1986 Leisuredrive Pop Top there is a useful looking tray moulded in at the back with some non slip strips on the bottom. Like everything on a Leisuredrive they obviously never finished the job by providing anything to strap your luggage to. Thing is it would be a mighty handy spot for the awning - I am always a bit dubious of drilling the pop top as it doesnt leak at the moment... Does anyone actually use this tray?? If so how do you tie your luggage down?

I have a stainless roof bar thingy off my old Autohomes roof, now on my scrap pile.

It served exactly that purpose, and was screwed into the GRP roof with self tappers. Never leaked. If you think it might be some good to you, you can have it if you want to get it picked up. PM me and I'll send a photo.
1.9D (AEF) pop-top. Aaaaahhhhh........that's better.
