Hi,
a bit of a last minute request but we're intending to travel to Durham tomorrow (a family duty-visit) and are hoping to combine this with our first overnighter in our van.
Does anyone know of a campsite somewhere mid way between Durham and Manchester - Harrogate area seems fairly central - that's likely to be open this time of year? Anything considered, it's only for the one night.

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems but it will p.iss off enough people to make it worth the effort

See if you can make it as far as hawes... some great pubs, a waterfall, couple of decent campsites...

A load of us stayed here last weekend, it's superb. I think every one of us would recommend it.

Just one thing, Silky needed a campsite for one night Sat. 12th March.

Hi
Can you personally recommend a campsite in Hawes? went there a few years ago and really liked it but was staying in B&B's back then

Brown moor is closest, but a little sterile. I prefer the one next door to the green dragon pub in hardraw, just the other side of the river... Clean amenities, but no fixed pitches etc...
