That's very interesting as I have a white SIKA syncro, reg G52 PHR, first registered on the same day as this TriStar!

On sale again! This Doka was on the market last year interestingly. The diff-locks weren't working then either.

I think its the one Neil and I looked at a couple of years ago when it was the rustiest van I had ever seen. Might be wrong though..

Think you are right - he got an ear bashing too if I remember on the forums too.
£7K would be steep too - fixing a van up is expensive, the drive train needs a good look at, the difflocks dont work which could mean a number of things and he must have had a look at them and the rust can be seen in various places as it has tainted the top coat by me! Dont get me wrong - everything is recoverable - just be sure that people know what thet are letting themselves in for.

The thing I find more annoying is that if he says he would replace the carpets its a bit miselading not to show what state they are in isnt it? Clearly they are buggered up in some way and/or tatty. My experience is always be honest and open - you always get a better price that way if someone knows what they are letting themselves in for.

Yes it was mine for 6 months, I paid £2500, took it to the first syncropendence, Matt and Jen and young Tom passengered that weekend; fixed the exhaust and water pump and rear difflock and dedecalled it from the Nottingham Builder's stickers that were all over it and sorted a few more bits and cleaned and tidied it and sold it at Vanfest after display as part of syncronauts display for £3500 to Guy; it needed catching hold of bodywise then but he ran it as daily driver for four plus years before selling it; Syncrospares worked on it last year for the current owner I believe.
Front difflock freeing will be diff out job, I couldn't free it seven years ago and gave guy the vac unit and roll pin and boot etc...
