Newbe in need of some advice on interior!

Post by mrsgoo »

Hi I am new to this Forum and thought I would say a big Hi to all!

I have a white T25 that we have owned for two years and we are currently in the process of updating her interior. We made do for the first summer but we have just stripped her right out and need to get her up together for May when we hope to head off to the Big Bang at Santa Pod in her.

We have bought two Saab seats for the cab but could do with some help/advice in particular on replacing the head lining we have had to remove the original one as it was really damaged due to a water leak before we owned her.

Also any advice on flooring, units, curtains....would be gratefully received and anywhere local that could help would be a bonus (we are from Southampton!).

Thanks, looking forward to hearing from you.

Hi there!!
We are just up the road from you at Chichester.
We have also had our white T25 for 2 years and have just stripped it back inside and out.
do you have any interior in it already??
depends how 'original' you want to keep it?
We took our old autosleeper units and have sanded them back, filled and painted cream and are about to add some flush round knobs to make them modern. but friends of ours replaced their units with B&Q ones and they look fab!
I brought some bedroom curtains from argos in the sale and cut them to size! very unique!!
we are having the seats reupholstered in vinyl at a local fabric factory - they will also make curtains to size.
flooring - well we took ours out completely whilst doing the strip back - we are going to lay vinyl flooring on top once its done.
and yes headlining and interior roof lining is now what we need to consider - ours is covered in a carpet type material which was filthy! vanish wont get rid of it all but will try using a steam cleaner.
We're waiting for the welding to be done then got to treat with vactan and then gonna 'rustoleum' it - all to be finished by March for Dub Aid!!!
Does my ass look big in this?!

Thanks that was really helpful

Would love to know who you are using for your upholstery. Our headlining was dreadful and we tried everything from Vanish to Mr Muscle to bleach and nothing would get the marks off and it was also ripped in places.

Will take a look in B and Q for unit, as we took out all the units as we changed the bed from 3/4 to full width r and r. So now we need to put in something, thinking of behind driver seat???????

Oh the list is endless...cab mats, curtains, bed, headlining, flooring, units, seat covers, replace pop up, lights, door cards............................need a lottery win!
