I've recently fitted an 'underslung' water tank from C.A.K. tanks with an inline 'Whale' pump but for some reason the water will not come through.
The pump is spinning and if i suck on the tap then i can get water to come through but only a trickle and once i've stopped sucking the water stops, is there need to prime the pump?
Water won't pump..............

when you say "inline" i presume you dont mean a submersable one?
the inline ones are better, last longer but either need priming or need to ne mounted below the level at which the tank is full.......
youhave got the wires the right way round havent you?
