Can anyone help please:
i have recently bought a T25 1983 camper, love it, however i need to relace the carburettor. Can anyone tell me if a Weber Carburettor VW Transporter T 25 1.9 DG Engine manual trans. which Replaces a Pierburg 2E3 will fit a VW T25 campervan water cool 1.9 automatic 1983.

Is this the JK replcement carb?
Yes, it will fit. But it's a proper pain in the a*** to set up, a rolling road is needed.
Then the fuel economy is no better, reportedly worse, with some power loss too.
I wouldn't fit one, I would repair the 2e3 or buy a good second hand one.
What's up with the old one anyway?

not sure whats wrong with the carb. on my t25 because i havent picked it up yet? its 300 miles away from me.

From what I have read over the years, Kev is right
I would et the 2e3 repaired / serviced = they are a good carb when working right.
Gasure (see link in my sig below) are good with these carbs.
Got a new van, but it's a 165bhp T4 [shock horror] Accurate LPG Station map here
