Dead starter solenoid

Post by mike the van »

Hi
I have a dead starter with the problem traced back to a dead solenoid, the main current contact from the solenoid to the field coils has corroded and will not switch the load.

Engine is 2.0 litre CU

Trying to track down a new or working Solenoid tried JK any ideas??

Cheers

Mike

I use a local company who repair starters and alternators for a living. They can usually get solenoids etc. There must be a firm like that near you.

(E D I T) although in the north of scotland "near" has a different meaning(/E D I T)
1.9D (AEF) pop-top. Aaaaahhhhh........that's better.

OK, if posting is your only option give Neil a ring on 01822 832925. Worth a try. You'll need to tell him the part number off the solenoid I'm guessing.
