During freezing weather my throttle pedal freezes over night and when it thaws out it overrevs between gears.
I have cleaned the cable ends but to no avail.
Can anyone help?

Re: Throttle pedal frozen
you need to completly remove the cable and blow out the outet guide.
water has gotten into the cable, there is a rubber boot always on the pedal end, sometimes on the engine end, its prob split and let water in somehow.
you need to remove the water then put some wd40 or similar down it.

Re: Throttle pedal frozen
I changed the whole cable when mine did this - but it made no difference.
It was the pivot point of the metal bracket that the cable fits to (the other end of the piece of metal that fits under pedal).
I had to strip it completely (twice) before I got it moving freely permanently.
