I bought a camper 2 years ago that needs work and had been sat 5 years prior off road. Now it has a Golf Mk1 K Jet engine in it which I am having problems starting again after getting it running last year.
The metering heads on these K jet engines can be very temperamental and I want to start at the fuel system root and work from their, so the fuel tank.
Now is it possible the inside could be all manky and benefit from a clean? Indeed is it even possible to clean the inside or is it new fuel tank time?
This is the small filter before the pump (their is a proper large one in bay) and as you can see it is grotty!
And this is the colour of the fuel coming out the injectors
