Slow oil drip

Post by Si_P »

I replaced my oil filler neck about 3 months back. The old one had split up the middle.

Replaced the gasket, tightened up as directed etc. now I have a slow drip from the join.

Should I have used some sought of gasket putty? There was no evidence of this on the old one.

I'm not sure whether this is a really silly question or not!

Many thanks in advance. :ok
