Coil Wiring

Post by melvin »

Hi There all,
Just to clear my mind can any confirm that black goes to -ve and green goes to +ve on the coil for a 1.9 DG engine?
Its just that my van has developed a intermittent lack of power/miss and during my checks (during my lunch break) I noticed that mine is wired green to the -ve and black to the +ve. Probably nothing to do with it as its been running fine until late, but if it is wired backwards does anyone know of the effect if any?

Cheers

M

Cheers for that, Glad mines wired up the right way, just seemed odd to use a black wire for a +ve!
