original wheel carrier adaptors for alloy wheels

Post by xriss »

anybody using them thougts good or bad? as some wheel diameters are too small to accept on the center piece on the original carrier
i think syncro pete made the ones below anybody ever get a set or know if there still out there ? dont really wanna hack the carrier
or ream /rebore centers on my wheels..also im wondering what the extra stress implications might be regarding the elongation "moment" ect...cheers all

I made a set of 3 for my carrier but I have the wheel facing in the other way around. I have had no issues with the ones I made in the sense the wheel hasn't fallen off yet! Ill take a photo tomorrow and post it for you

Those two pictures you posted are of parts made by Jens Broszio in Germany from the IG 16 group. The pics below are of my carrier with Projekt Zwo 7 x 15 ET11 alloys with 225/70/15 tyres fitted. These alloys, if fitted with a narrower 205/65/15 tyre and mounted the other way around will fit the carrier without the need for stud extensions.

I made my extension pieces from mild steel as that's all I had lying around at he time but if I was to do it again I'd make them out of stainless.
