Hi There,
Wondering if anyone can help with this problem. My 1990 Caravelle automatic has developed a leak in the power
steering system rendering it inoperable. The oil is being deposited somewhere around the rear offside axle and I've checked the ATF
fluid has definitely run dry in the reservoir in the engine compartment.
I have limited maintenance skills but have access to a pit so that I can hopefully get underneath to see exactly where the leak is.
Is this likely to be a simple problem that a layman like myself can attempt or is it likely to be more complicated i.e does the system need bleeding and need special equipment or parts ?
I appreciate it's difficult to say without seeing it but someone who has experience may be able to offer some advice before I take it to the garage!
Cheers, Alan.

Re: Power steering leak on 1990 T25 Automatic
Metal front to rear power steering pipes probably corroded and leaking now. They are only components near o/s shaft. Abit awkward to replace if I remeber right. Changed both mine at same time. Bleeding is easy. Fill reservoir and run engine turning steering lock to lock slowly keeping reservoir topped up until level settles.
