T3 Rust n Paint Doctors....

How do? I am looking for a bodyshop that understands our machines and will do a good job. My westy has some rust coming through and really needs attention now. I am in Hampshire and seek a place that can do the body work and subsequent respray. Who is the best and where are the rest? I don't really want to find out all the local shops are not up to scratch and would prefer to use one upon recommendation from a fellow T3 owner. Your help would be more than appreciated. Russ

hi mate theres a good body shop in hazle rd in woolston,southampton right opposite the yatch pub,ask for a fella called wayne,he,s a sound bloke and 1 hell of a sprayer and pretty resonable,i,ll try to get the number for ya tomorrow mate

Thanks,i'll check them out, not far from me! Who is regarded as the expert/best on T3 bodywork wise?

I used R&K car body repairs in Gosport to fit new rear wheel arches and do a partial respray (both sides and lower front). IMHO the spray work was very good. Two years later there is no sign of rust coming through the seams. I was not so impressed by the welding; I think I'd rate it as adequate rather than outstanding.

I think they do a few campers, they had an old Commer Dormobile in when mine was there.

Thanks for that, i'll add them to my check em out list. It is proving difficult to find a one stop quality place for the Van. I might try and seek a classic car retoration place, they should have all the necessary skills... I would hope...
