Tardis: Can I fit a greyhound in a T25

Post by MrBeard »

Hi
I am sorry if this is an obvious question, but I am struggling to find correct dimensions for the T25.

What I Really need to know is the interior space.
What is the size from the back doors to the back of the front seats, does anyone know, could you measure one for me please?
All I really need to do is fit a rock n roll bed in the back and when the bed is down for sleeping is ther still about 70cm left for my greyhound to have his bed fit in?
The greyhounds bed is 130cm x 70cm.

I really appreciate this

From the 'Wiki' at top of page, should give you some idea https://club8090.co.uk/wiki/Vw ... dimensions

however, how much you can squeeze in is really down to how determined you are ....

The dog will surely fit, the dog bed however is a damn awkward thing to be lugging around ...always in the way.
Nice comfy blanket in the passenger footwell makes a lovely dog bed for the larger dog ...smallies like to sleep on the seats

If all you have is a full width rock n roll bed there will be plenty of room.
We used to have a similar arrangement and had room for an Irishwolfhound , border collie and a sheltie !
It is easier to have soft beds that can be rolled or folded up and squashed into corners to make best use of the space.

Thanks guys
That link is just what I was after.

I was stalking about his soft bed (130x70), It's the greyhound legs, he fills it up so it a good guide for how much space he needs.

DentedDevon how on each did you fit: Irishwolfhound , border collie and a sheltie and yourselves in?
WOW!

Many thanks.
Now, I just need to find the right one at the right price...

of course you can fit a Greyhound in the van, there are lots of us on here who camp with several larger dogs

we've have soft beds that fill the floor area of the van for our two bull x lurchers; one 26" tts & the other is 28" tts - they both fit well in the floor area but still manage to sneak up onto the bed during the night......the Jack Russell sleeps on the seat

Karen,
wish I could get my Jack Russell to sleep on the seat. The old bu**er waits till I've nodded off, then crawls into my sleeping bag.

Hi All
Thanks for your help

I have managed to find a local T25, and I pick it up tomorrow.
Looking forward to spending the night in it with a greyhound.

Next I need to add an extra bed, either in the roof or a front seat hammock like the one converted here:
https://club8090.co.uk/wiki/Ca ... _.2F_Bunks
Does anyone know the measurements for window to window across the front seats?
Or a good place to get a bed installed in the elevating roof.

Probably late advise now, but I've seen someone use a large board resting on the passenger seat with folding legs attached, these supported the overhanging parts, mainly over the footwell. It effectively made an area slightly larger than double the size of the seat. It then folded flat when not in use. I hope this makes sence.
