Sink waste drainer

Now this could be classed as one of the saddest questions yet.
while converting the inside of our panelvan, I'm in the process of buying a sink (see wanted section). Question being Is there a reason for offering a straight or angled waste drainer at the plug end? Or can either be used?

If you are emptying into a waste tank you need to have a U bend somewhere to trap water other wise the 'stink' from the waste tank will get into your van. The shortest fastest route out is best IMO if you are just emptying directly to the ground and, wether you use an elbow or just plumbing straight down, doesn't make much difference other than what works best in getting the best route from the sink to wherever your exit point is.

Thanks Angelo, I guess I will be emtying the waste into a portable container which I can dispose of on site.
Will check the camping shops for a u-bend.

You don't have to have a 'U' fitting, I just routed the exit pipe so that it had a slight bend in it to trap a small amount of water. Too much and it slows the emptying down. If you are emptying on a daily basis you may not have a problem anyway. I modded mine after noticing a really awful stench from my sink during the summer and put it down to the waste tank.
