Hi,
Does anyone have a guide on how to install a Devon Moonraker roof? I currently have a hitop roof and i'm planning on switching the roof to a devon. But i want to make sure that everything will fit etc before i go ahead. The hole in the roof seems to be roughly the same as a Devon, so i think it will... a guide would be very useful lol!

Re: Guide for installing a Devon Moonraker roof?
I've recently just changed my hightop for a Moonraker roof.... Way more room when we sleep and loads ot headroom but man its cold up there!
I kinda miss my high top tbh.
Get STRONG fasteners with some metal spacers so it clips with a good angle without touching the gutter. Fit them with a backing plate so its on there nice and strong. Same goes for the hinges. I used the bottom bit of the crappy rubber fastners that I first tried to use as a clip for the protex fastner. (dont use those, they are crap!)

You can get fastners from: www.protex.com
Also, get strong iron hinges and if they only have 3 holes to fix to the roof with, drill a 4th and use the most heavy duty rivets you can find. Or use nuts n bolts and drill access holes in your van if you dare. I didnt but my friend has and that roof's not going anywhere! I coudlnt do it to my van.

Hi David,
Thanks for the info!
Im not sure what the name or style of the hi top roof is, but if you click on the link that says "1989 Volkwagen Panel Van" in my information to the left of this post, you should be able to see a picture of it. I am planning to take it off in one piece fingers crossed! lol
