VW paint codes & colours

Post by New Kentish Campers »

I've looked through the Wike and Brikwerks for colour names, which are all there, but does anyone know of where I can actually see the colour against the paint code? [ I dont want to go to a local paint factor as its miles away!] I ask this because I plan to respray my van once the bodywork is sorted out, in its original L90 white, but doing the lower half in a pale blue [to match the van's interior] I've seen plenty of VW's, particularly T2's done in this colour, hence my interest.

If you have one near you, Halfords usually have a huge set of books with thousands of colour swatches in them. Used them to match and mix up some paint a few weeks ago for me ol' van!

It can be a rip off if you have it in the cans but I use my own spraying equipment at work so works out quite nicely as you have to thin it 50/50 which gives you double what you bought.
Has gone on well, no problems at all. Keeping fingers crossed though!

You can't be that far from Kent Paints off Bluebell Hill. They have the chips and can fill up a trial Aerosol.

Thanks, but the colour I fancy is more a pale french blue type colour. However, I rang a mate who still has his bodyshop business and has yet to escape the madness, and he's going to loan me his colour swatch book for VW. Once I have found the colour, I'll let you all know 'cos I know you cant wait
