FUEL PUMP NOSSLES

Post by martbass »

Hi all

I have a T25 2.0 Aircooled cu engine.
I'm going to remove /bypass the cheap leaking 'sytec' pressure regulator in line with an electric pump on my van and see how the original mechanical one works.

There are two brass fuel nossles on it.....one I assume takes the fuel pipe in from the tank and one next to it that would go up to the carbs.

BUT......There is a smaller 3rd nossle pointing downwards to the floor......It has a small 2'' long piece of braided pipe on it which seems seems to have been cut off short.

Does anyone know what the smaller 3rd nossle is for and or where it goes??

There is a vague photo of it in Haynes but nowt in the descriptions or diagram views.

thanks

the third one is for oil overflow, it just hangs down and drips. (Maybe just to reinforce the age old thing about VW's marking their spot after the upgrade from the leaky old bays?) :P
