Just taken delivery of my smev cooker sink combined unit. Got the hole cut in the worktop and cooker fits. What do I use to seal it in place? Can't see no holes to screw in place so thinking I need some kind of sink or cooker sealant from b&q. Can anyone advise what to get and how to do it? Need to get it done before busfreeze tomoz!
Do you squirt sealent in before slotting cooker in or try and squeeze it in situ? Don't want to make a mess and never done owt like this before.
Any help or advice appreciated.
Ta,

No didn't come with owt like that. This is the one I bought.
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SMEV-8302-2-BURNE ... 1197wt_689
description says comes with waste and rubber, but guy on phone just now says it doesn't need a rubber. There are some screws under the black rubber caps, but these have wierd bracket things and would need a worktop about an inch thick I would think. Guy said I need to get some additional block of wood to put under the clamps to hold it in place. Surerly it will need sealing though. Probably get someat from b&q but don't want to mess it up. Bugger, these things are never as simple as you think....

I put mine into place in the hole and then put some masking tape around the edge of the worktop leaving a 2mm - 3mm gap all the way round from the cooker and use a kitchen sealant in black.

Re: How to seal a smev cooker in worktop?
If you look again you will see some small 1/4" black plastic grommets in the top, remove these and you will see a pozi screw head, unwind and observe what is happening on the underside, SEE loosen swivel under worktop and tighten, as for sealant yes I would and do use a little, first place hob where you want it and then run some masking tape around, remove hob and you should see a bit of worktop edge onto which you can apply a 'little' silicone,
Then carefully lower hob into place and push gently to settle, then do your thing with the locking cams but dont do them tight, just a real tiny touch, then when silicone dried next day give them a final tweak ,
Remove tape with excess silicone (didnt put too much on did you?) job done
