Can't help you with camping sites but we did it in June 1999 on a motorbike - it snowed!

Done it 3 times (motorbike), stayed at Zell am Zee campsite (did the pass there and back) second and third times we carried on to Cortina D`Ampezzo.
Keep it real.

We went there in 2006 stayed on a small site just outside Kaprun which is not far from Zell an See.

We were on bikes though, don't think the van would make it up and over.

It's very beautiful well worth a visit and if you fancy there is an extra bit of road that takes you

to the very top, think it is supposed to be for just for bikes but when we were there cars when

up to.
