I have a LHD 1984 1.9l petrol watercooled T25 with a DH code engine with a pierburg 2e carb (i assume 2e3 but it doesnt say anything other than 2e on the carb)
Now the wiki says this should be fuel injected!? is this wrong or has it been converted at some point?
also the haynes manual says there should be an idle stableisation unit in there but i can't see any (coil conected to CU but cant see anything inbetween) - what does it look like and could this be the cause of the cutting out at idle. After replacing the spark plugs/HT leads and inlet gasket below the carb this has improved alot but still does it occasionally when pulling upto a junction. (n.b. Starts first time and isn't a when cold issue.)
Also when under load it sometimes doesnt gain power and changing down a gear still doesnt help? fuel pump and lines have been replaced so not that.
there is a fair bit of oil in the carb from the breather hose - could this cause these issues?
