Starting Problems

Post by Drakey »

Hi All.

I have a 1984 T25 1900 water cooled Westfalia. When left for more than a couple of days it is difficult to start. The engine will need to be turned over for a long time before it starts. I have been told that this could be because the fuel drains back to the tank if left for a long period, is this a common problem? Any ideas what else could cause this?

The fuel pump has been replaced as have the fuel filter but this has made no difference!!

HELP!!!!

Regards

Andy

Mine has the same problem, but only if left for 6 or 8 weeks. I think you can get a non return valve to put in the fuel line. No doubt someone smarter than me will be along to clarify the situation. Nigel in Cavan
