Are they worth having in your Van if you dont Camp in the freezing mths, I have a Propex 1600w with 6 blowers in the van which seems excesive.
surely a good feather quilt is just as good, or a little electric fan.
I think i will pull it all out tomorrow shame it looks like brand new inside & out but i hate gas in the van.
Who would be without there heating systems.

If I had one in my van I would leave it there just in case I ever wanted it.

I have a B3L in a box under my PC desk that one day i will be arsed to fit. One for the spring as it's not a winter job though as my pinkies get cold

Thanks for your replies, Wish there was some Good knowledgeable 80-90 members closer to me the bloody vans doing my head in, so many gadgets fitted on it 20 odd yrs ago, i dont just want to rip it all out.
Anyway shall carry on regardless.
I have a spare cottage on mi land in combe martin you no HINT HINT.

Cream tea surely? Just make sure its cream first then the jam or they'll deport you to Cornwall.

I've got a gas heater in my van that only gets used after I've been bodyboarding in the winter. Getting out of a wetsuit in a warm van while the kettle boils and the toast toasts it as good as it gets.
If I'm sleeping out in winter, thermals, a thick duvet and a woolly hat is normally enough.

I dont know, A warm home made scone with full cream butter then home made plum jam and then you can load it up with the cream , how if you put cream on first can you then get the right ammount of jam on!
agreed I have the p'pex but dont really put that on in the night, its nice to stick an arm out and switch it on so it warms the van enought to reach out and light the hob for't kettle

Agree on duvet principle. Chickenkoop and I both find in our campers you only need to put the kettle on to warm the inside up. However, condensation can be a prob with most heating systems (other than electric). A heater used to be high on my list of wants but realised I rarely need one and not worth the bother.

We have a Propex heater. We use it in the mornings to get the van cozy before getting out of bed, or just to take the chill off in the cooler evenings. It's one of the things that makes the van soooo much better than camping.
