Phase 1 Complete

Post by LordNorth »

Hi All

I'm fairly new to this Syncro lark but have just got me panel van back from Syncrospares today.
It's had a fair amount of attention due to the basics being a lot worse than I had hoped for.
That's round one of belt feeding money into my syncro.
Still got some mechanical bits n bats to sort and need the underneath 'proofing.
Got a little bit of bubbling on the paint work here n there too.
Ah well better get some more overtime banged in before the next phase can begin.
Plan on taking the cash pit off road when I have finished replacing the remaining chocolate parts but I am worried I will be so Sh@te I will bin it!!
Met Syncropatrick down and syncrospares too, that's 3 people I know off this site now.

Cheers Neil

I haven't taken any photos as there's nothing to look at in amazement at the mo - unless you wanna see anything specific.

I had a new VC, lots o new bushes and ball joints etc.

My cooling system has been put back to syncro spec, but I am going to need to replace the front to aft plastic water pipes.

Got the front and rear diff's going but i still got a sticky pin at the back, I can faff with that tho - don't wanna end with diff stuck on.

The report sheet of things done is quite long.

I need to get rid of these 16's with MT's and get some nice 15's with AT's.

Tonnes to do, so little time and cash.

Guess things wont feel good till I get my rubbish interor done and thats gonna be last on the list.

Ok the tyres are....Bridgestone Bueler M/T of size CT225/75R16.

I don't have a ruler to hand for tread depth but theres loads on there. The alloys (see pic if it works) I understand are merc something or others (useful eh).

I have five but sadly the previous owner had not rotated em so number five is effectively brand new.

I couldn't get rid of these until I have some others to use. They are just to big for my 14 although they don't scrape. They aren't too practical for trips up to Lancashire either casuing extreeeeeme deafness

They do look good tho.

Range Rover orange, metallic.

It will need some body work in the next 12 months. It's difficult to know what order to do the stuff in really.

Some of you prob seen this before tho as it was Welsh Dragons previously.
