Cigar lighter not working

Hi, can anyone help ? Cigar lighter on our T25 (petrol) not working, all the other electrics ok. Has anybody got any ideas where to start? Thanks!

Not the easiest place to get at but if all fuses in box ok, really you'll need to follow the wires from socket and see if they have somehow come adrift or if someone fitted an inline fuse. They do pack up after a time though, particularly if its the same one that was fitted when vehicle was built.

These days though, more than one socket is useful. ALDI (places like that) do splitters which can have the main plug cut off and wired into fusebox, fastening the new one somewhere convenient. I have two such multi-sockets, one in the front and one in the back.

Thanks for that will have a look tomorrow. Do you know which fuse in the fuse box covers the cigar lighter? Thanks

Mine wasn't working, whilst everything else on the same circuit was. Took the illumination bulb out and hey presto, I can light those little white tubes all day long (although in truth it runs the satnav). Guess the blown bulb had created a short.
