Waterpump

Post by we_love_vw »

My Campers water pump has gone.I have been qouted 130 pound for the part and labour does that seem a fair price.I hoping this is the only problem because the mechanic said the head gasket might have cracked as well.Fingers crossed its only the waterpump

Sounds like a reasonable price in this day and age for around about 2 hour labour plus parts, + VAT....be warned though these things need buckets of antifreeze which can be costly if G12 ( The VW approved stuff is used)

Personally I'd be suppling Halfords best phosphate free antifreeze before they start the job (amount needed approx 7 litres)
