Nothing to do with sexual orientation, just a vivid imagination and wishful thinking.

Decouplers are for people who think/wish that despite a miserly ground clearance of 20 cm and meter long front and rear overhangs the Syncro was designed to be a rock crawler

De-couplers are for people who do a lot of motorway miles. I must admit on our latest trip I forgot that the dub had 4 wheel drive. But it is always useful to have it there. Allowed us to park in one place that otherwise we would not have in 3750km. (trip report to follow)
