van stuck in 3rd gear????help

hi ive got a y reg panel van diesel,was a 1.6d but now has a 1.9d skoda fleisia engine in,problem ive got went to have a go in it today,put it in 3dr gear and it stuck in it,cant get it back out..any ideas how to get it out,or whats wrong with it..

At a guess......... if gear linkage all ok and nothing silly fallen off, then liely that the syncro hub has failed.. DO NOT wragg the gearleaver as it will bend something..

gutted not even had it on road yet,it taxed moted,but had enigne mount snaped when i bougth it,and 2 of the mount bolts had snaped of in block,had that sorted,but now this,

Mount on gearbox in the correct place? and not been bent out of shape has it??? couple of pics from underneath would be good...

everything seams good,and in rite place,when i had the mount sorted it had a noice like a clutch realise bearing noice,it went when you put clutch down,but came back when foot of the clutch,and when you in first or reverse setting of the engine box judders till clutch up.sorry for the vage text but trying to explain it.lol

also can anyone tellme the cheapist way to sort this out,or can i use a petrol gearbox?

I meant the bracket for the gearchange, that bolts to the gearbox.. it can be fitted the wrong side of the mounting lugs and wont allow geas to be got..

Where in the world are you? this might help if there is a specialist/member near that can have a look..

Cheap isnt always best I am afraid...

A petrol box may be used, but depends on what code the box is.. you could easily end up with a top gear thats of no use except down hill.......
You need to get the code off your box and then see what the code of the box you are thinking of using...

I would speak with Aidan in any case. (he doesnt bite...) he may be able to suggest a solution..

my van still has original box in and the van was a 1.6d 1983 model,if this helps and im in liverpool
