Yep reckon its off the td's, be interested to see an original fitting, dont suppose it will make much difference to my asthmatic oiler though

i think that is just to drain water out of it if any gets in there..it has a small hole inside the flange from memory

if you dont have it fitted ..then fit it..the noise from the booming of the intake is reduced by prolly 60 %
plus youll be pulling in fresh air from the vent

Never thought about the noise, on the underside there is an extended bowl/dish with a 1/2" pipe outlet which as this is the lowes point would be the drain , but that still leaves this 2" stub ? I will fit it though as I have it

not sure about the other stub..mine never had anything fitted to it..you sure its not a blank?..i thought it was that that had the small hole..but it must have been the belly..like you say

that's 068 129 902 elbow with cyclone function as fitted to 1.7KY late vans only, wasn't designed to go with 1.6TD but may work
the small hole on the bottom would originally have had a rubber extension on it and acts as a debris dump and moisture dump, the rubber bit may have had a mouth on it that you squeeze to open and empty, but I haven't seen one in the flesh, just going off the parts diagram

new they are over £100 :shock:
