temperature gauge

hi bit of info if poss, my temperature gauge has stopped working no over heating was on Holladay and have done about 300mls.its still flashing red when first turned on, on the back of the gauge there is a three pronged connector with a spade end dose this end have a wire connection on it,if not where on the engine is the heat sensor.

depends on the year of your van..

post 86 it's located on the plastic thermostat housing above No. 3 cyl
pre 86 it's located on the metal thermostat housing above No. 4

yep sorry all, its 1990 1.9 diesel.
