HI,
does anyone know where to get the special tools needed to change the camblet on a ky/jx/ra diesel engine.
vw2065 cam lock plate and vw2064 disel pump lock pin?
asked in my local motor factors, they mutterd VAG but they cost big $$$ surely theres a cheaper option somewhere?

I made my own, suitable sized metal bar that sits in the slot at the end of the camshaft...ground it a bit for a snug fit. From memory I just jammed a socket extension in the diesel pump to stop it moving out of synch.
