Leisuredrive cupboard latch worn (Solved)
All my latches seem to be failing one after another. They are worn from decades of use and no longer stay where they should do
Sourcing new is no doubt nigh on impossible but anyone any ideas on what they have replaced theirs with considering that there is a 25mm approx hole in the cupboard door to cover up?

Re: Leisuredrive cupboard latch
Hi Cruz
I had trouble with my LD latches but it turned out to be the little wedge like blocks they latch onto on the cupboard door frame, they only have one screw in them and as they loosen up over time they can spin around and the latch fails, might be worth a look to save a search for replacements.

Re: Leisuredrive cupboard latch
It's the latches themselves. The pivot pins on the bent handle part are worn and no longer fit tightly to the slots in the fixing plate. Hence when you pull them the bent handle part disengages from the plate that is secured to the door.

These look promising. Utilising the existing holes in the furniture

Re: Leisuredrive cupboard latch
Fixed them.
The pivot point on the catch comprised of two slots in the mounting plate where the two short pivot spigots on the lever pushed in. I used a hole punch to close the slot up which secured the lever nice an tight
Should last a few more years now
I will post a picture sometime for other leisuredrive owners.

Hi i'm having the excact same problem, any chance you could explain /show what you did to fix it?
I had thought of soldering a bit on to the recess where the lugs sit and see if that works.
I'll add a photo if that helps?
I have been trying to source an old one but no luck there. I did see the complete interior unit selling on ebay a month or so ago,
Cheers

Re: Leisuredrive cupboard latch worn (Solved)
i had to do exactly the same to mine only this may.....
take the latch off the door, and you will see the pivot point where the handle fits , the "jaws" of the slot the pivot slots in just need a very gentle tap to close them up so they grip the handle again...... recon they will last a goodly long time again now...
