floppy passenger door mirror

Post by ambibus »

Hi every one,
just bought a 1990 Devon conversion minibus, the passenger door mirror chrome 'ball & socket' joint is very sloppy and won't support weight of mirror. if I undo the two screws holding the bracket to the door can I tighten the joint from inside? also are there captive nuts inside the door or will I have to take the door card off?

Thanks

Paul

Yes you can and they are captive nuts! Not a bad job to do.

Thanks Mark,

Been swotting up on the site before buying my T25, dreading the fuel consumption, just sold My 1.9td T4 (40+mpg)to pay for it, I must be mad, its a silly grin machine though, my little girl loves it.

will mend mirror tomorrow
