Door Seal/Cap/Cover

Post by JacquiVintage »

Hello

Can anyone help me, I've only just noticed that there are some holes in the side of the driver and passenger door, below the lock ... presumably to allow access to inside the door, they are a kind of oblong with curved corners, about 5 inches x 2.5inches ... they are also mirrored on the main body of the vehicle ... should they have caps in??? there are six holes in total and none of them have a cap ... I never noticed before but just noticed that you can see right into the inside of the doors, not bonny and I would like to get some caps, any ideas???

I'd post a picture but it's always a disaster when I try post anything to here.

Thanks

Jacqui

I think you are talking about the fresh air ducts that run through the door to the b pillars. You can still buy all the parts you need from VW direct. There are blanking covers on the A pillars, and a grille affair on the B pillar. There is a spongy seal on the front of the door but as far as I'm aware nothing on the back of the door

Oh thanks for this, it looks as though it's part number 17 I am missing ... will try and find it.

Thank you
