Hi,
Brought my camper 3 months ago and noticed when approaching 60mph the LHS mirror folds and then when nearly hitting 70mph the RHS mirror folds. I thought the mirrors were loose and brought a new pair from Just Kampers and fitted them. However they are still folding around 70mph!! Arent the mirrors designed to stay where they are at 70mph plus?
Can anyone help me, with how to lock the mirrors in place.
Cheers
Mirrors

Re: Mirrors
take um off and you'll see a 10mm nut very carefully tighten it up a little that will stop it!

Re: Mirrors
This has been covered/asked a few times - run a search if you need to know more or nut-tightening fails to resolve the problem.

Re: Mirrors
its the special speed restrictor as supplied by VW. Stops you going over 68 mph therefore not thrashing your engine, as Mr Hully puts it, to within an inch of existance!!

Re: Mirrors
And if you and the front passenger can get them flapping backward and forward in unison, you get a whole extra 1mph for no extra petrol.

Re: Mirrors
Use loktite (think that's how its spelt). Worked on mine after I realised they kept coming loose after 10 miles. Or fit syncro mirrors....
