12v Socket sizes

Hi there, Im sure someone can help with my question....
our 12v socket on the zig unit is smaller then the cigarette lighter one.....? :?:
do we need a special connector?
Does my ass look big in this?!

There are 2 standard sizes of 12v sockets and you can get plugs which have a slide down collar sort of arrangement to take up the slack so that they fit the larger and smaller diameter sockets.
Or is it one of the very much smaller "Hella Type" which looks a bit more like a jack plug? Again adapters are available to convert one to the other

Hi there, Thanks, It looks exactly like the ciggy lighter one but is much smaller in dimensions. tried my coolbox socket in it but it is just too fat! :cry:

Ring Automotive make the "3 into 1" type adapters with an adustable plug on them, which might fit your narrower power socket

There's a picture on the Halfords website here to give you an idea of what I'm rambling on about. You can just see the sliding collar on the plug (if you know that's what you're looking for)
