Morning all....... :D

I need to get a repalcement sliding door mines a 1982/83 A Reg..... I understand that the earlier and later vans have different sliding doors is this correct and which year did they change................

PS any one got a spare door :wink:

yes, early and late are different, change over year was 85, although some slightly earlier have later doors.

easiest way of spotting difference from a distance is the length of the door handle, earlier have a long handle ( and so a longer handle shape ) than later doors.

the rear edge is different on the inside edge, as the door frame is different on a later body.

expect to pay big money for a good early door, if such a thing still exists.....

YES there is a difference as mocki said . im looking for a new one too, and a decent one is like rocking horse poo :cry:
if you can repair the bottom panel do that, you can get the bottom panel from schofields, mines gone too far for that.
find a good welder and bobs your uncle.
whats up with your door where has it gone ?
