Silicone rocker cover gaskets. Any thoughts?

Post by Gunslinger »

Was thinking about trying some of these. At $30 including shipping thought they might be worth a go.
Any opinions?

Have to adjust the tappets every 3k Mark so they are off a fair bit and I for just over £20 a set, shipped, thought it might be worth it if silicone is the way forward

Might be worth asking on Volkszone for a general opinion as there is a vast Aircooled presence there and I'm positive someone must have tried and rated them :ok

Done that and opinion is mixed. I have ordered some as I have some aluminium aftermarket bolt on covers to fit and hoping they might be better than the gaskets I've been using. Due to solid lifters I adjust the tappets every 3k so change the gaskets quite frequently
