Devon 1982 user manual - camper electrics

Hi, I am trying to sort the internal electrics in my 1982 Devon. They seem to have stopped working, and can't work out why. Does anyone have a copy of the original devon manual they could scan and upload?

This would really be helpful. Despite the popularity of the devon, there seems to be no user manual on Wiki.

Or if anyone has any advice on the camper electrics and can draw a basic sketch?

My van is a westie but I had a similar problem. It turned out to be the aluminium fuses oxidising over. These were in a small secondary fuse box just behind the front seat (I did not know there were any fuses in there). I put new fuses in and hey presto everything started working again. You may have a similar problem. Check it out. It won't cost you. Patrick

Thanks for that. I also only found that box when reading an old thread!

We have replaced the fuses - but still no joy! When I put the voltmeter onto the lights the power fluctuates for no apparent reason - mainly off but occasionally a surge when you turn the light on... but mainly nothing. I have a brand new leisure battery.

Also need to know about the relay between the two batteries. My main seems to loose charge - only a year old, and I have no idea why. Last year I disconnected the leisure battery ( which ended up being faulty) and everything seemed fine again - so thought solved the prob. this year bought new one hoping all the probs of last year would dissappear with the 70quid I spent... but no. Same problems and 70pound poorer!

I've been having this trouble too - it's in the garage being fixed though along with everything else, which is little use - sorry.
