VDO OIL PRESSURE SENDER PROBS??? OIL LIGHTS FLASHING!

I bought a VDO oil presuure sender, twin prong jobby as i wated to keep the idiot light & have a gauge!

since fitting it the idiot light flashes when the engine is up to temp!!!

with the OE original sender it did'nt flash at all????

i'm going to put the old sender back in to see if it flashes whe up to temp

anyone else had any probs wwith VDO twin prong senders?

i have the idiot light wire connected to the prong marked 15, the other prong is marked G

all advice appreciated

i have'nt have'nt fitted a gauge yet!
