Immobiliser Removal

Post by PeteIOM »

Hiya

Im hoping someone can help me out.

My T25 and immobiliser on it.. its a little keypad to the right of the driver console which is conected to a little black box that sits just above the drivers shins and has a selection of wires coming out labelled H,H,C,C,F something something. :) and then a thick ribbon cable that connects the key pad.
Anyway.. the immobiliser is giving it up big time and rarely excepts the code (although once the horns gone off a few times it seems to conenct the battery and you can start the camper) so I want to pull it out but I have no instructions for it and theres no brand name on it or anything...

Anyone point me in the right direction?

Cheers
Pete

I'm guessing cause its an aftermarket immobiliser its just been wired into the original camper wiring.. so therefor rip out wires and reconnect original wires?
Another thing that leads me to think its goosed is that last week it would start after entering the code but would stop again after about a minute... consistantly after each time I started it.

Yes indeed... My apologies! :)

To be honest once I got the steering coloumn panel off it looked pretty simple.

It was an aftermarket Immobiliser with a Key pad on the dash which was connected to a black box with wires labelled H,H,F,F,C,C,EARTH,+,I.

With steering panel offI could see that basically 3 main wires had been cut and the wires from the black box spliced into them. I just removed all immobiliser wires and reconnected wires that looked like they belong together and hey presto.. it worked. The Mrs was mighty suprised, commenting "when I saw all those wires loose I thought the camper was done for!" :) loads of confidence in me! :)
