Noisy Power Steering

Post by Spiral »

Haven't used my westy for a while. Started it up and power steering is noisy. Never had this problen before. Had a new power steering rack fitted about two & half years ago. Is the fluid low? If so, where do I top it up?

Any suggestions please? Thanks in advance :ok

you check the level in the reservoir with the engine running and you top up into the reservoir after unscrewing the lid, be aware there should be a spring in there holding a plastic plate ontop of the filter

Thanks Aiden. Is the lid somewhere in the engine bay?

big black lid at bollock height as you peer into engine bay to the right of the flap, has a dirty orange cap in the middle but easiest to unscrew the whole black lid ime, reservoir is translucent so you can see the fluid level should be between the marks
