Post by we_love_vw »

My Family and i are going to Camp Bestival at the end of July in Dorset and then going onto The Big Chill the weekend after. We have about three days in between.Would greatly appreciate any advice or recommendations of places to stop on the journey.

Briarfields touring park In Cheltenham is a good site as it located close to the M5 Junction 11 and on the bus route to Cheltenham and Gloucester. (every 10 mins number 94)

I come from a little down the coast in West Dorset and still go camping here: http://www.eypehouse.co.uk every so often. Its really peaceful, pretty much every pitch has a sea view, little terraced pitches, right near cliff edge (but fenced off! ) Its pretty basic facilities but nice pub within walking, great cliff walks, good swimming off the beach, good fishing too if you like, you can sometimes see dolphins, shoals of mackerel on the surface, good for bbq's..... always a few vans there too, tents and vans only field is best.
