I am going to change the catches on the elevating roof and the old ones are pop rivetted on. Am I right in assuming that you drill them out or is there a much safer way?
Thanks
Andy
How do you remove pop rivets?

Drilling rivets out
Just drill off the heads of the rivets then tap the remaining body of rivet through using a small punch. The rivets will probably be 1/8" diameter inwhich case use a 3.2mm drill (5/32" use 4.0mm drill). This way you won't oversize hole and replacement rivets will be a nice tight fit.
