Oil Pressure Gauge

Post by Hedgehog »

Anyone got any ideas about oil pressure readings for T25?. After Buzzer of Doom sent us crazy we fitted a seperate oil guage. (Firstly having checked that oil pressure was ok) . We ran it about 40 miles without guage and it runs really well. Now having fitted the guage it`s ok till warmed up but then guage is up and down. Is this normal?

the oil preasure should rise as revs increase and drop as the revs drop. what engine do you have?

expect 60+ psi stone cold and 30psi at 3k rpm hot down to 10-15 psi hot at idle, bod wants 2something at 2k rpm or it goes off
this is for a wbx, I don't know about oil burner tractor engines

once you are used to it you can see the affect of temp and oil condition, you will be able to tell it wants changing and you'll find it is 6 months, 5-6k miles as advised
