Body/subframe lift for approach angle?

Afterthis weekend with Leinster 4x4 club found the Syncro Achilles heel, lack of approach angle, for the first time . After looking at a modified landcruiser thought about the possibilty of spacing between the subframe at the front and where it goes onto the body to save doing the bumper mod, whilst not giving ground clearance it will increase the angle of approach this would be balanced at the back by an additional lift. As we are looking to convert the pick up to a Syncro it is not more work to throw a steel spacer in there when bolting the subframe to the body. The only snags I can foresee are c.v joints rear shocks and possibly trailing arms and the front being to lemghten the steering rack and possibly brakelines the angle of the prop will change slightly but it's got uj's so should be a problem am looking at possibly doing a 2" lift and the same on the suspension so rear suspension will be 4" to balance it. As tinkerbelle is the play thing am willing to experiment, what do you think ?

In Ireland dude, bandit country besides would only be a 2" plate steel spacer so wouldn't even be noticed I reckon
