Re: Main Beam Dash Board Light
Hi there,
Mine did not work when I bought the van so I bought another from......VW! They will order for you and charge more than a bulb should
But still relatively cheap!
Before you rush out and buy be sure it is not a loose connection in the oblong white plug with 13 or so wires in it that plugs into the dash pod (if this means nothing have a search, plenty here on it). You may need to clean the connections and use a watchmakers/small screwdriver to open the connecters in the plastic oblong thing to get a better connection. Worth a go first as this is more likely the cause. And, you need to remove the dash pod anyway to change the bulb...
After I replaced the bulb and cleaned the connection up I did start to wonder if the bulb was okay....I cannot imagine the main beam flash is used that much, even in 20 years! It's not like a house lightbulb!
Good luck.
