gear box oil leak

Morning all,the box is dripping oil from the plate that is held on by 6 10mm nuts,is it ok to remove and re-seal it?[im being very cautious,dont want bits falling out!!].
ta.
I dont think, so I'm not[do I exist?]

yes
you'll have to drain the oil, let it drip overnight once the cover is off then clean up the mating faces and use flange sealant and be careful when doing up the bolts they are only M6 and easy to strip, there's enough material to go up to M7 if any are stripped but timesert repair is preferable and the original bolts with integrated washer head and spiral cut thread are the best, note the size difference between the four outer and two middle ones

Thanks Aidan.i have just fitted the propshaft de-coupler and filled the box with 75w 90 gl4 so will fix the drip when i get some more oil.
