If hes selling then he's a seller so he says how much he wants , offer him £50 and if he dont like the taste of that then maybe he might suggest a price..

im with mickey on this one...if someone has something to sell and they say make me an offer it puts the buyer in a difficult position..just say 5 quid and turn it round on him.

if you going petrol to diesel make sure you get the bellhousing/input shaft and of course starter motor!

also a complete kit would include the welded on parts that would be cut from the van , batterytray and rear mounting plates.

also the diesel throtle cable should be included , or you will need to buy one!

plastic front to rear collant pipes are also different petrol/diesel so if these areent included you will need to modify/buy these as well

make sure the donor was a similar age to yours as if you try and swap early/late then things like wiring will be different and need some mods to make it work.

also worth noting that VW placed on anything bigger than a 1.6 NA diesel (1.7 or td) a larger rad fan and thicker rad

how about diesel clock set?

both these things would be part of a complete conversion.

possibly the td diesel larger tunnel pressing around the gearstick which would also need a td gearstick!

no you dont NEED them , unless you want to convert your van in a near factory standard.

will he be supplying the gearbox or just engine?

if the box comes , make sure you get the front mount and rear gear shift rod!

Do you have to change the back axle ratio for the slower reving diesel?
